Yes! it's true!

A friends' blog introduced me to an interesting little website called Sproost. It tells you your decorating style. Basically, you sort through pictures 0f rooms and rate how well you like them on a sliding scale from love it to hate it. Turns out my style is . . . . .

55% Cottage Chic
27% Nantucket Style
18% Rustic Revival
And while you wouldn't know it by the decor in my house its actually pretty accurate. Looks like the fact that we're moving to the beach could really play into my style flair!!
What's your style?

IT'S OFFICIAL - - NC here we come!!!

So we've been back and forth, over and over again, trying to decide when we should tell everyone where the yellow brick road leads next. I had posted previously that Dalyn and I had visited at small, coastal town in Washington, NC, in search of a job for Dalyn. Well, after lots of prayer and thoughts, Washington, NC will be our home come July!!! Dalyn's contract has only one stipulation that we haven't met to this point and that is that he has to pass CITA. CITA is the exam he must take in order to get his NC license. I have no doubt he'll do great!!! We don't have lots of details to pass along yet, we will be traveling to Washington this weekend to look for a house and hopefully get that settled. I will update you more on that once we know more. We don't have a move date set just quite yet. We know it will be the first week in July but nothing for certain. As I get more details I will let you know but for now pray for Dalyn and his CITA exam scheduled for the end of April! Also, in the meantime enjoy a few pics of the town.

I'm so PROUD

My hubby just found out today that he passed his SRTA exam that he took over the weekend. WOOHOO!!!! I'm so proud of him, I had no doubts that he would do fine but I know it certainly makes him feel much more confident. He can now practice dentistry in a number of states including TN, which is in the running for where we may finally end up. I know this is a huge weight off his shoulders as he prepares for another exam at the end of April. Thanks for all the thoughts/prayers for my husband as he traveled to and from his exam and on passing his exam. God certainly is wonderful and amazing!

Prayers for the hubby

Dalyn leaves for Charleston tomorrow to take the second part of his SRTA exam. He has to have this exam before he can get his license in a number of states including Tennessee. Please pray for his safe trip to and from Charleston and please pray that he passes his exam with flying colors! Although, I have no doubts he'll do great.

Rate My Doctor / Infertility Update

As I had posted in a previous post (read here), Dalyn and I have had 3 fertility doctors just since we moved to Knoxville (we've only been here 10 mos). Our first doctor was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! He never took any time with us and when we didn't want to follow his exact protocol he pretty much wouldn't do anything else for us. We are thankful that we now have a wonderfully fabulous doctor that we absolutely love!! Well, a few weeks back a friend of mine sent me a link for Rate My Doctor. Basically, you can search for a specific doctor, you can add ratings, view ratings, etc. I was intrigued to find our horrible doctor on there with rave reviews (p.s. mine was not good) and our good doctor with no reviews period (p.s. she got 5 stars). I thought this was a interesting website to pass along to everyone so you can see how your doctor rates.

On another note, I'm back to about 98% post surgery. My incisions are almost completely healed, my bruising is almost gone, my bloating is gone and I can comfortably fit back into all my clothes. I'm still having a little throat irritation, which I think can also be contributed some to allergies. We, along with our doctor, decided it would probably be best to continue with IUI again this month. I did my Femara for days 3-7, had my HCG injection on Saturday and lastly went in for IUI on Monday. Now for the waiting part. I'm not good at this part, every little cross sneeze I question as a possible pregnancy symptom. I've taught myself, pretty well actually, about not getting my hopes up like I use to. I don't even buy pregnancy test anymore. I am striving everyday to continue to place this matter in God's mighty hands and allow His will to be done in our lives. I have learned through Him not to take pity on myself for not having a child but to celebrate and be thankful for the wonderful things He has allowed in my life thus far and the amazing work he continues to do. Dalyn and I often like to say that my mother hasn't found the perfect child in heaven for us yet. I know she is watching over us as we struggle through this as well. She was an amazing power of strength in my life and continues to be to this day. Okay so now that I've gotten myself emotional (must be the meds) I'm gonna leave it at that for now. I will update you guys more in a few weeks what the outcome of this round is. For now, go rate your doctor!!

Etsy Shopaholic

I know must of you who read my blog already know about my love affair with etsy. I could waste countless hours surfing away looking for wonderful handmade finds. So on this rainy, gloomy day, when patients are non-existent at the office, I decided to surf on over for some e-retail therapy. And well look at some of the super cute things I turned up.

Ruffles Purse $20 @ madebyhank
How cute is this as just a weekend clutch if your running out to the store or to ice cream on those hot summer nights!!!

I envision this with a very cute summer skirt. As a matter of fact I think I may have one that would go perfectly.

Love Letters Stackers Ring Set $50 @ tinahdee
Just a cute I love you gift for no reason for a reasonable price.

Messy Flower Pin $10 (Various colors) @
At her shop she has these pins and headbands but I think these would be so cute on a summer dress or cardigan.

Etsy sellers just never cease to amaze me. I linked all the sellers shop pages to their names so if you like something click on the name and it should direct you to their etsy shop. Enjoy some Etsy shopping on this rainy day!!

Movie Review

Dalyn and I went to the movies last night and watched Duplicity featuring
Julia Roberts & Clive Owen
Julia Roberts is one of my favorite actresses and I'll have to say this wasn't my favorite movie of hers. All in all it was a decent movie, I would recommend if you have a short attention span or have to exit for the bathroom, that you don't go see it in the movies. It was they type of movie that you had to follow every last scene in order to understand the way things were coming together otherwise your walking out saying "did i miss something." Watch it at home where you can pause for the bathroom or popcorn. But I would say that I would see it again just not in the theater.

Healing/Doctor Update

I just wanted to update everyone on how I'm feeling. Everyday seems to be getting better and better. I feel pretty lucky with everything, my worst side effects from surgery were soreness in my abdomen and a really bad sore throat. Also, something not mentioned in side effects was a pretty bad tape allergy that I have. That's been a little annoying also. I haven't had any heavy pain meds in two days so I'd like to think I'm doing pretty good. I went to the doctor this morning and she removed the steri strips that I had left over my incisions. She said it looks like my incisions are healing well and that the remainder of my bloating should be gone within the next couple of days. She gave me some pics that I'd love to post but don't have a scanner. When they do the surgery they fill your abdomen with gas and make you look like your about 8 months pregnant. I had her take a picture of what my stomach looked like, she said its more what my belly would look like at about the 6 mo. mark but its funny to see none the less.

Anyways, now that I'm healing well, onto the rest of the news she delivered. She said my endometrosis was about a stage 1-2, very mild, expect in one spot. All the spots on my ovaries were all very small and shallow (which is good). She got all the endometrosis lasered off and said everything looked great when she finished. My left fallopian tube had been blocked and she said with a little pressure they successfully got that open. She said everything looked great and was functioning as it should when she finished. She did an ultrasound today and it looks like I have two eggs, which is the goal!!!! so we are going to proceed with IUI again this month. All in all she seemed very hopeful that we should be pregnant within the next 3-6mos!!! I know to be careful with getting my hopes up so we will see how it goes over the next few months. Keep the prayers coming that God will bless us with a child in the coming months.

Organize Your Life

I have a blackberry and yes it has a calendar but I often find myself resorting to my pocket calendar just as often as I do my phone. I've been looking for something really cute but very usable. I recently found these and thought they were cute enough to pass along. I think I'm going to order it in this color in the pocket size. In case you don't like this one Filofax has tons more you can check out.

Surgery Update

I just wanted to update everyone on my surgery yesterday. First let me start Sunday, all I could have was clear liquids all day Sunday. I was absolutely famished by Sunday afternoon. Then Sunday about 6pm I had to drink magnesium citrate, and all I will say was that it was miserable and I didn't leave the bathroom hardly all night. By yesterday morning my nerves had pretty much left me because I was just ready for everything to be over with. We got to the doctors office around 8ish and then once we were finished there arrived to the hospital a little after 9am. They got me settled into a room pretty quickly and then a steady flow of traffic starting coming through. First was the girls who checked all my vitals and got my IV started. I seen several other doctors and nurses after that and they finally took me back for surgery around 11:45. My nerves kicked in as they wheeled me from the room and I started crying when I had to say good bye to Dalyn and my grandmother. But they gave me feel good medicine right before we left the room so by the time we got down to the OR, I was basically out of it. I remember seeing the doctor and that's the last thing I can remember, until I woke up in recovery about 1 1/2 later.

All in all it was a pretty easy experience to go through. I was in recovery about an hour or so before they let me go home. My abdomen is really sore and bloated and my throat is really sore and I'm horse but other than that I had no other symptoms that they say can occur. All in all I consider myself pretty lucky. I'm able to move around fairly easily with some help and have been resting really well. Now to the even better news, there was some endometrosis throughout my abdomen but she was able to get it all removed. My left fallopian tube was blocked completely and she was able to successfully get it opened. She is very optimistic about us conceiving in the next few months, which makes all this even more worth it. I go back on Friday for a post op so I'll let you know more then.

I just wanted to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers. They have meant the world to Dalyn and I and we couldn't have made it nearly as easy without God having a very special hand in it. I will keep everyone updated as I continue to recover.

Here are a couple of my favorite Irish blessing I thought I'd share for the occasion.

An Old Irish Blessing
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

A Wish for a Friend
Wishing you a rainbow
For sunlight after showers—
Miles and miles of Irish smiles
For golden happy hours—
Shamrocks at your doorway
For luck and laughter too,
And a host of friends that never ends
Each day your whole life through!

An Irish Prayer
May God give you...
For every storm, a rainbow,
For every tear, a smile,
For every care, a promise,
And a blessing in each trial.
For every problem life sends,
A faithful friend to share,
For every sigh, a sweet song,

Said in the morning when rising...
Christ be with me,
be after me,
be before me,
and be at my right and left hand.
May everything I do be for Christ.
And an answer for each prayer.

Hope you all have a very blessed St. Patrick's Day.

Clear Liquids, ewwww

Tomorrow morning I start my clear liquids diet in preparation for surgery on Monday. Breakfast will probably be Jello (eck) and for lunch I bought extra special chicken broth by Rachel Ray (yippie(not)). I'm not looking forward to it at all, in case you can't tell. I probably won't be blogging tomorrow, I have to go to NC to get my grandmother who is going to be helping me get through the first couple of days post surgery and finish getting some meals fixed for while I'm out of commission. Today my nerves have been ok but I have my moments where my anxiety gets the best of me. Please continue to pray that I can remain strong, that the surgery goes well and that my recovery is quick and painless. Pray that Dalyn and my family are strong and can help me make it through, I know this stresses them out to. Hopefully I will feel up to posting by Tuesday and I will let you guys know how things went and how I'm doing.

Love knows no limits

Ashley had posted this video on her Facebook page and well its pretty amazing and very touching. Please note I don't know when it aired on The View but the video has to be from like 1970s. Anyways enjoy...

Also, just a side note for after you've watched. I think Sampson must be 1/2 lion. If you know him you know that he always rubs on people like Christian does Ace and John when he first sees them. Hum!?!

Organic Wine

A few weeks ago I watched a segment on The Today Show about good, inexpensive wines. They sampled a wine from Argentina made by Yellow & Blue. It was an organic wine not in a bottle but in a box of sorts. Their website claims its a "Tetra Pak" which certainly isn't a bottle but "isn't exactly a box" either. Again, their website says the Tetra Pak is "made from 75% paper harvested from responsibly managed forests. They’re far lighter and less bulky than bottles when it comes time for shipping. And the Tetra Pak holds two more glasses of wine than a bottle." I thought it was pretty interesting. So how good is the wine? Well, I can't personally say because I haven't found it in stores yet, however, a friend who is a wine specialist says she has had it and states that its pretty good. Meredith seemed to really like it when they sampled I'll let you know if/when I run across some to sample. Let me know if you've had it before!!!

Recession Dressin' Addition

Tonight I was looking though some of the other sites that posted for recession proof outfits and I ran across this site that mentioned a site called, Cutesy Girl. I surfed over to check it out and I didn't look at anything but shoes, but I will say that some of there shoes were so extremely cute and very affordable. I don't know how comfortable they are but if I order a pair I will update you. Also, it looked like they were having a big sale right now. These are two of the shoes I found.

Also, I forgot to mention my favorite shop for handbags, Bag Haus. They have some great bags at great prices and they even have some imitation bags. They run some great sales and you can sign up for there email sales so they send you even better sales via email. I have these two handbags and I absolutely love them both. I do warn though, check the measurements before you order because sometimes the size in the pic can be deceiving.

Recession Dressin'

Fellow blogger, Kelly, started a blog today about recession fashion. Of course, I love love love cute clothing at a great bargain. She introduced me to Sam Moon, and wow, what I have been missing!! I'm on my way to purchasing these fun accessories ($32.50 for everything!!!!!):
In the summer, my staple clothes are dresses and skirts, I found some very cute things are Old Navy this weekend for under $30:

Also, I shop at a little consignment store here in Knoxville. Some of there clothes are a little young for me, but on occasion I run across some great finds from Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, Gap and J Crew. I got 2 skirts, 1 from Gap and 1 from Banana Republic and a dress from Ann Taylor, all for $23!! Who can beat that!!

I also purchase a ton of clothes from TJ Maxx, its hit or miss sometime, but I normally find a few cute things there. I posted a pic of a really cute top ($12.99) I got there a few days ago.

And lastly, I find a lot of cute clothes for cheap at Target. I ordered these shoes ($19.99) a few days ago, but haven't gotten them yet,
I also, got these two skirts a couple of weeks ago for 13$ each:
Lastly, if you really like a store, ask if they have a mailing list for sales, sometimes its a great time to get the clothes you love on sale!!! Could it get any better than that!?!

Springing up Everywhere

Yesterday while the weather was beautiful I headed outside to take some pics of all the beautiful things blooming in our yard. I could decide on just one pic so I posted a lot, there was a lot that I loved. Hope you enjoy the spring time pics, I just hope the weather will continue to stay this nice.

Cupcake Thieve

So, I had two cupcakes from the Cupcakery on the counter when I left to run a few errands today and when I got home, this was all that was left:

I wonder who it could have been .......

He declares his innocence. I mean look at that face, he would never do such as that.

Also, note the spoon that was in the box is missing to, so we may be making an emergency visit to the vet later. I pray not!!!

D-Day or S-Day I guess

I talked with the doctor yesterday and I will be going in for surgery Monday morning. I have to be to the doctor for pre-op by 8 am and then will go straight to the hospital from there. I'm absolutely terrified but know its for the best. So that's that, I will update more about how things went and what the doctor said post-op once I'm sane enough to type next week :-) I'm hoping they supply very good drugs to keep the pain away.

Spring Must Haves

The hubby and I did a little shopping this weekend, and don't be fooled the boy loves to shop. I love that he loves to shop and have loved that about him since day one!! I found some absolute spring must-haves this weekend that I'm gonna work on purchasing in the next few weeks. I posted a few pics of my "want" list. J Crew (which I love everything they have) have some of the cutest things! Here is what I found there:

I love this shirt!!!I liked this skirt. It has cute pockets in the front. And I absolutely must have this shirt.

I also found these really cute Steve Madden flats:Also, this morning, I was reading Emily's blog, a Phi Mu sister from college, and she mentioned these shoes called Naughty Monkey. So I surfed on over and checked them out. I found this pair of flats and they look like an addition to my spring must haves. Thanks em!!!

Doctor Update

Well, I went in for my blood pregnancy test on Thursday, and I'm sad to report there will be no Baby Webb this month. Now what? GRRRRR!!! Okay I had to get that out. I'm expecting a call back from the doctor today, but probably surgery for the endometrosis and to open the blocked tube. We know from the IUI that everything still checked out ok with Dalyn, jerk (j/k), so hopefully if I can get fixed up we will be headed in the right direction. I will probably be looking to have surgery sometime towards the end of this week or the first of next, I will keep you all updated. Please continue to keep us in your prayers. I'm extremely nervous, maybe more about this than anything I can think of, so pray that God gives me the strength to continue to fight through the fear and uncertainty. I will update you as the info comes in.

Disappointment Bug

If God brings you to it,
He will bring you through it.
Happy moments, praise God.
Difficult moments, seek God.
Quiet moments, worship God.
Painful moments, trust God.
Every moment, thank God.

That's really all I can say at the moment.

I do not like green eggs and ham

"Yes, there really was a Dr. Seuss. He was not an official doctor, but his prescription for fun has delighted readers for more than 60 years. Theodor ("Ted") Seuss Geisel was born on March 2, 1904, in Springfield, Massachusetts."

His Legacy
"At the time of Ted's death on September 24, 1991, some 200 millions copies of his books, translated into 15 different languages, had found their way into homes and hearts around the world. Since then, sales continue to climb year after year."

Click the picture to go the the Seussville Website

Stamp in his honor

My favorite Dr. Seuss Quotes
"Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than you."

"Don't cry because its over. Smile because it happened"

"Don't give up. I believe in you all. A person's a person no matter how small."

On what would have been his 105th birthday, we celebrate the wit, humor, and thoughts of Dr. Seuss.

Crisis Over

So Dalyn and I went home Saturday and while we were there I decided to let my Aunt cut my hair. I really wanted to go for the really short-do in the previous post but she wouldn't have it. She said that she wasn't going to be responsible for me hating my hair for months. So I told her to cut it as short as she would. I snapped a few pics this morning so I could post them on here. Its quite a bit shorter and blonder than its been in months!!! So, here is the new do. . . .
I didn't take a before but its pretty drastic. I'm still trying to get use to it but I figure it will take me a little time. For the most part I love it!!!
