Acid Reflux Advice
In the past few weeks I had become convinced that Landry's acid reflux medicine hadn't been lasting him the full 12 hours or so that it should've. So we took him to the doctor and she agreed that maybe he needed a different 'kind' of medicine. She switched him from Zantac to Prevacid. She also forewarned us that the first couple of days could be pure "hell" as it normally would take 10-14 days for the medicine to fully start working and we had to stop the Zantac cold turkey. Well sure enough the first few days were a little rough and then it seemed to start working and I was relieved that it seemed to be what he need to solve the problem. And then it happened. . . my boy became aware of what was coming every morning and night in that syringe. So now even though it's only a tiny amount we CAN NOT get him to take it. We've tried mixing it with formula, cereal, and he still won't take it. So I'm turning to my blogging mommy friends who have had to give their children medicine. Any suggestions on how to get him to take the full amount? Thanks in advance.
