Doctor's Appointment - 28 weeks, 3 days & 29 weeks, 3 days

Okay so I have tons of fun and uplifting things to share so I thought I would get through my last two doctor's appointments first. My last appointment at 28 weeks 3 days was where I had my glucose test, Woohoo! not really :-/ I was allowed to have eggs or toast early the morning of, so I woke up at like 6:30 to have something to eat. Some about plain eggs did nothing for me that morning, so I didn't eat much. My appointment was scheduled for 9am. So I drank the yummy little drink and off I went. For some reason I was so nervous about this test, I just really didn't want to fail. It was pretty routine. The doctor told me I was done with work, so I am now home full time. I'm not actually on bed rest but I just can't go in to work. When I run errands I can't be out and about for any more than 2 hours at a time. I guess all that's better than bedrest. I weighed 160.2lbs and my belly was measuring 36 weeks. Oh and I got the news the next day that I had passed my test. I had my Rhogam shot, I think its quite possibly the only shot I've ever gotten in the hip that didn't make it so sore the next day.

This week we were schedule for a growth scan and my hubby got off work to come in hopes he might get to glimpse at the in 4D. Started off as normal; weigh, pee in a cup, bp. My BP was a little on the high side today. It was 140/74 and there was a trace of protein in my urine. So that immediately had me worried. I didn't weigh much difference than last week, 160.6. After all that we went back for the u/s. The babies are getting so big that it's crazy to think we use to be able to see them both in one shot. So onto the semi-troublesome news. Baby girl is weighing 3 lbs 9 oz, whopper!! Baby boy however is only measuring 2 lbs 13 oz. The doctor was a little alarmed. He said that its normal about this time to start seeing some growth difference. The plan right now is not to start panicking but to start measuring them every week. Their feelings are that as long as both boy and girl are still growing and gaining weight they will let them continue but the moment baby boy starts showing a decrease or stop in growth we may have to look at bringing them on into the world. **Insert me freaking out** I told myself that I'm not going to freak out until next week. He said with two more weeks of growth scans we should have a good measure to chart both their growths. So please please pray that our little man starts growing over the next few days. Doctor wasn't extremely worried about my BP, he said since I was going to be coming in on a weekly basis we'd just keep a really close eye on it too!! That's about all, I got back on April fool's, so I'm hoping that little Landry is playing a really mean April Fool's joke on mommy and daddy. But please just pray for his growth. Pray that God will give him the strength to keep up his growth with his sister and that they will stay put for at least 6 more weeks or so.

Stay tuned for my tons more of catch up!

Hi hun...boy are we having similar pregnancies down to the detail. We had our growth scan today..baby boy (A) was 3lbs6oz and baby girl (B) was 2lb11oz. Our dr wasn't concerned because we looked at the growth at 25 weeks compared and they were still growing at the same rate....just one is bigger than the other. As siblings are, they can certainly be different sizes and so he reassured me over and over again that these differences are expected. It's great your Dr is having you come in each week for extra measurements. I go back in 3 weeks for another appt then have the scans every week from there on out. I just wanted to let you know since our babes are measuring pretty much the same. Try to remember the better you take care of yourself (eating, no stress) the better for them. I am SURE everything is just fine! :-)
